WorldEnsemble thoughts

cropped cloud worldsOur planet is in massive flux—the earthly stage shifting beneath our feet. Our challenge in the next 15 years is nothing less than redesigning human civilization for the next 500 years and beyond.

On this edge of the known and unknown, there is much danger and opportunity. A time of change, a change of time. Here we transform the very landscape on which we walk. To travel this land requires more than map and compass. For such experiment, we need handmade tools, tool-making tools—more like the creative and connective languages of gesture, poetry and music. We want to converse in ways that allow us to see with altered vision, experience ourselves and each other anew, explore questions not yet asked, and reach for different perspectives from which to desire.

We are all—no matter what our role—players in the ensemble that creates our world. Our world is local and global—a nexus of family, friends, neighbors and co-workers networked with other locals crisscrossing country, culture and specie in a global web. I make my offerings as one voice in the communal singing up of our new world.
